Welcome to First Presbyterian Church. I am so glad you
decided to visit and learn more about our ministry. Our church has
been serving Christ in the city of Shakopee for over 150 years.
Our services are designed for everyone to enjoy-even if you’ve
never been in church before. At a typical service at First
Presbyterian Church you will find great music, encouraging
messages, friendly people and an enjoyable atmosphere. When we
say, “Come as you are”, we mean both your attire (casual) and
your life (searching).
- Your kids will love our Wednesday afternoon children’s music
ministry “Prays Kids”, as well as our regular Church School on
Sunday mornings. We’ll provide a safe and loving environment for
your children so they can have fun learning about God. Children
birth through fifth grade will experience programming that
captivates their attention, challenges their thinking and inspires life-
change and reminds them that they are loved as they grow in
Christ.
Your teens can find themselves among Christian youth who meet on Wednesday evening to find
ways to know and serve Christ and others, and just hang out together in a caring community of
peers and dedicated youth leaders. They can also be invited into our interactive youth group
discussion site on Facebook.
Adults in our church are lifetime learners and dedicated servants. We invite you to grow your faith
through Bible study, service opportunities, music and spiritual growth. Our congregation hosts a
fellowship dinner every Wednesday evening to which all are invited.
No matter where you’ve been or what your life has become – you matter to God, and to us.
